So you’re excited for the Frisbie St. Art Show but wondering where to eat & drink before or after?
Well, you’re coming to the right neighborhood. Frisbie St. is minutes away from “Uptown” Oakland which recently celebrated it’s “revival” status in June with a big street party for city residents.
With press like this: “An unparalleled arrival of new restaurants continues to change the landscape of Oakland’s Uptown neighborhood and breathe new life into downtown Oakland” you have a lot of options to choose from.
The closest places to Frisbie St. are on Broadway:

Z Cafe and Bar (Mehdi the owner helps promote Frisbie St. shows so of course this is our top choice and it’s literally 5 min. away)
MUA Restuarant & Bar (Cool art & vibe, mixed reviews on the food)
Shashamane Bar & Grill (Doesn’t look super interesting from the street but the Mediterranean and North African food is delicious)
Luka’s Taproom and Lounge (A favorite of many)
Drunken Fish Sushi (Walking distance & yummy)
I also love Piedmont Ave. which is 5 min. driving distance and has a lot of good choices – one of which is Fenton’s – open 9 am to midnight.
And, if you want semi-fancy with a beautiful, relaxing setting next to Lake Merrit – try the new Lake Chalet – it just opened and here’s a link to the reviews.
