Ok art lovers. It’s that time again. More art than you have time for in one evening, exhibiting all over Oaktown. Take your pick.
On my list this month:
1. a new gallery/project space devoted to video and photography called Krowswork

“Krowswork inaugurates its program with “As X → ∞” (As X Approaches Infinity),* an exhibition of videos and photographs that explores ideas of the infinite, divinity, and the leap between reason and faith as a natural expression of the mediums themselves.” You can read more about this new space and the Friday launch here.
Location: 480 23rd Street between Telegraph and Broadway.
2. Oakopolis Creativity Center’s second annual Gratitude Altar Show

Show opens: December 4, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Gallery open Saturdays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Show Closes: January 9, 5:00 p.m.
Curated by Sophie Elliott and Marcy Voyevod
The show takes place during a time when we tend to reflect back on the past year and begin to contemplate the new year. We feel that this is also a time to contemplate gratitude in any shape or form it may take.
We encourage you to explore your own definition of what a gratitude altar could be as you surround yourself with thankfulness from a variety of artists in mixed media.
There will be a community gratitude altar, so feel free to bring any non returnable offerings of gratitude to place on the altar.
